Odd Vessels — Privacy Policy
Odd Vessels is a single-player puzzle game. You do not create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. The game has no chat and no in-app purchases. Its only device permission is internet access, which is used for ads and analytics.
What stays on your device
Your progress (levels, stars, coins, boosters and settings) is stored on your phone. If Android backup is turned on, Google may back up this progress file so it can be restored on a new phone. We do not run our own servers and do not receive this data.
What third-party services collect
The game uses these Google services, which collect data under their own policies:
- Google AdMob shows banner, full-screen and optional rewarded video ads. It may collect your device's advertising ID, app set ID, IP address (used to estimate approximate location), interactions with ads and the app, and diagnostic information, to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. This data is shared with Google and its advertising partners.
- Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Remote Config help us understand how the game is played (for example, which levels are too hard) and adjust settings such as difficulty and ad frequency. They collect an app instance ID, the advertising ID, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and app information, and in-game events such as levels started, completed or failed, moves, stars and boosters used. We never send your name or any other directly identifying details in these events.
All of this data is encrypted in transit. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses information from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your ad and privacy choices
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: before personalised ads are shown, the game asks for your consent using Google's consent message.
- US states with privacy laws (for example California): you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for advertising.
- Where these choices apply, you can change them at any time in the game under Settings › Privacy & ad choices.
- On any Android phone you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Settings › Google › Ads).
How to delete your data
- Progress on your phone: uninstall the game, or clear its storage in Android Settings › Apps › Odd Vessels › Storage.
- Advertising and analytics data: reset or delete your advertising ID as described above. This breaks the link between your device and data already collected. Google Analytics keeps event data linked to these identifiers only for a limited period (at most 14 months) and then deletes it automatically.
- Any other request: email biddigi25@gmail.com with the subject "Odd Vessels data request". We will reply within 30 days and help with requests involving the Google services above. Because the game has no accounts, we cannot see or identify your data without information from your device.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete data about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To use these rights, contact us at the email above.
Children
Odd Vessels is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used the game and you want their data removed, contact us and we will help.
Changes
We will update this page if the game's data use changes and change the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the game's release notes on Google Play.
